I was really, really angry yesterday. I was expecting a really fun week at school. But I was wrong. Mr. Howler expects us to work all week long. What is wrong with him? When I argued with him over the all the work and the homework we were going to get that night, he put me out into the hall. I decided it was a good idea because then I didn’t have to listen to him drone on and on. I just did my work in peace. Of course, I did wave to people who were walking in the hall and I even waved to Mr. Mandrill. He frowned at me. I don’t know what his problem was.
I still can’t get over the shock of having more work to do. I even got homework tonight, but I thought I would be quiet about it instead of arguing again. Mr. Howler told us before he assigned the homework, that if anyone that disagrees with him, they will get after school detention. Mama Monkey doesn’t know how many times I get sent out into the hall, but she would not miss me coming home late. At least Mr. Howler ignored how antsy I was today and didn’t yell at me for it. Why is this final week dragging so long? This week feels like I am riding a turtle to the finish line instead of running the race and winning it. Come on Friday!
