Mama Monkey was nice enough to make us lunch and dinner and bring it up to us. She warned us not to leave any food out if we couldn’t finish it. We promised her without really paying attention as to why we needed to do this. We were so hungry, that we had seconds at lunch and there were no leftovers.
Dinner time was another story. We ate so much, that we didn’t have room for dessert. We decided to eat our bananas later. A little while later, we were telling scary stories, when we heard rustling underneath the tree house. I popped my head out, expecting it to be Little Ape. I didn’t see anything at first. A few seconds later I heard a great whuffling sound. Something was rooting around the tree and it sounded big.
Coco and I were trying to figure out what to do, when a great brown bear started climbing the tree that we were in! I yelled at Coco Monkey to throw the bananas out of the tree so the bear wouldn’t come up the tree any further. I actually hit it on the head with a banana. He looked grumpy until he realized it was food. He climbed back down the tree and ate all of our dessert. Coco Monkey and I decided not to bring food into the treehouse anymore. The bear hung out at the base of the tree for an hour or so before lumbering off. Bears are greedy. Coco Monkey and I decided to go back into my house and sleep there. Hopefully, the bear won’t come back too often once it figures out we have no food.
