It's been raining for most of the week and I've been stuck inside. I wouldn't mind going out into the rain, but we've been getting thunderstorms since Tuesday and Mama Monkey won't let me outside. She also told me to let Fuzztastic rest because I've been bugging him too much. I don't think so because he always likes sitting next to me when I'm home. I'm hoping the rain stops soon so I can finally go outside.
I sometimes tell stories on days that aren't Tuesdays, like on holidays or special days like today. Today happens to be my friend Mary's birthday. She doesn't know it because she doesn't often read what I post, but we're having a surprise birthday party for her on Sunday. So don't tell her! I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Last night I had the strangest dream. I dreamt that I was sleeping in my room and I woke up to a strange noise. My door was closed and Fuzztastic was meowing outside because he wanted to come in for pets. I told him to be quiet and let me go to sleep, but then he started jumping on the door! He jumped three times and the last time broke my door and it flew into my room with a crash. Fuzztastic was really big. He was about the size of a lion, but he had a lot of fuzz so it made him look like a huge pom pom. Then he jumped up on me and started purring. I woke up to Fuzztastic meowing outside my door. He must have really wanted to come in, so I let him sleep in the hammock with me. (Don't tell Mama Monkey). We had a good night and I chased him out of my room before Mama Monkey came in.
Coco Monkey and I got in trouble today. Coco Monkey and I were playing with the pillows in the living room. Mama Monkey hates when we pillow fight. Today we had broken like the third lamp in a row. Mama Monkey looked really angry. She grabbed the old pillows out of our hands and then stomped out of the house. We paused for a moment because we were so shocked. Once we recovered, we ran behind her calling out to her, but she just kept on walking. She walked to the edge of the river and threw all four pillows into it. Coco Monkey and I just stood there gaping as we watched them sink to the bottom of the river. By this time, it was getting late and she sternly told us to sit on the riverbank and watch the fireworks. Coco Monkey and I couldn’t help ourselves. We just started laughing uncontrollably. Mama Monkey huffed and puffed for a little while, until she started laughing too. She asked us to please only pillow fight in my room because I had less breakable things in there. We promised we would and she gave us a hug. Happy Fourth of July everyone!
