I don't think the sun has been out for a long time. Mama Monkey says it's been raining the past three days. I didn't like it because I was stuck in the house all weekend and it was SO BORING!
Mama Monkey made me clean my room because she said I was getting underfoot too much. After I did that, I hid in my room with Fuzztastic for the rest of the day.
I hope the sun comes out soon, I miss playing outside!
I was out riding my bike after school yesterday and got a flat tire. I've never gotten a flat tire before. I was really disappointed because all my friends wanted to continue riding their bikes. I huffed and puffed when I walked my bike all the way home. Uncle Titian found a sand spur in the tire. I had no idea that a sticker could pop a tire. Uncle Titian said it would take him a little while to repair the tire so I just sat out on the porch and watched him work.
A little while later, I saw Coco Monkey riding towards my house. She didn't seem happy. My eyes got wide when I saw she was full of stickers! Coco Monkey told me that the stickers are out in full force and I was lucky that my tire popped or I would have gotten tons of stickers in my fuzz just like the rest of my friends.
I felt better about missing out when she told me that. I was sorry my friends were covered in stickers but I was glad that I wouldn't have to have them trimmed out of my fuzz. I had to have that done last spring in the magic garden, and don't want to have that happen again. I have to remember to keep an eye out for them because they are painful when you step on them.
School break is almost over. That makes me feel sad inside. Today I spent the day in the garden with Mama Monkey. We got finished early, so we went to see if Aunt Fuchsia needed help in her gardens. She did and the best part was I was allowed to look for fairies and lady bugs while the grown ups tilled the soil. I can't wait to see all the flowers bloom and all the fruits I get to harvest.
This weekend Mama Monkey took me, Coco Monkey, and Sienna Monkey out to lunch and I was very antsy for some reason. I agreed with Coco Monkey, neither of us wanted to stay inside for long. It took forever for the server to come take our orders and even longer to get our food.
While waiting for the food, Coco Monkey and I sang songs and played games. Once the drinks came, I kept guzzling them and belching loudly. Coco Monkey and I made a game out of it. Mama Monkey asked us to stop. I asked why because it wasn’t like we were farting at the table. (That’s a rule at home—no farting at the dinner table).
Luckily, the food came out then and we were finally able to eat. Mama Monkey sighed and Sienna Monkey made a strange face. We decided that though the food was good, we would not come back to this restaurant because we waited too long for food.
